Ad Blaster Review

In 2005, I was an inexperienced and a new Internet marketer searching for ways to get traffic to my site. I came across the Adblaster, the website promised to effectively and instantly submit my sites to more than 2,500,000 Internet advertising websites and search engines.

It sounded so promising to me that I immediately swiped out my credit card and bought Adblaster. Essentially, all I needed to do was enter my site address and press submit, and I can see a little bar going across the PC screen as if it was indeed sending my sites to the 2,500,000 search engines and websites. This piece of program didn’t even bring 1 percent of the traffic that it promised me and it was a waste of my money and time. I felt that I’d been taken and lied to and I was so disappointed.

Later I learned that the Adblaster only submits to FFA pages and that FFA promotion is actually outdated. Not only that, I’ve also heard that the search engines will penalize you for promoting on the FFAs because they’re considered link farms. I don’t know if this is accurate or not but it is something to investigate nonetheless.

Looking back on the situation, I regret ever using the Adblaster. If I had to do over again, I’d research what other kinds of free advertising is available today. I’d also try to look for ways to promote my site which don’t require my credit card. In addition, I wish I would known back then that the company I bought through actually offered money-back guarantees, because had I known, I’d have to ask for my $50 back immediately.
